ARMY STRONG!

This is National Military Appreciation Month.

I’d like to take the opportunity to offer my thanks and appreciation to all those serving and who have served.

As a first-generation American, Dad was honored to join the Army to defend our country. When he knew he’d be called away, he proposed and my parents were married early in 1945. They honeymooned in New York City while he was on leave. Dad was a Second Lieutenant in the Army, serving during World War II. After the war ended, be became a civilian working for the Army for his entire career at Frankford Arsenal in Philadelphia. He was proud to serve and I was proud of him!

God bless America!

  1. P.J. – What a beautiful photo of your parents on the Empire State Building – a real family treasure. Thanks for this lovely reminder to give thanks to all who serve and have served our country. We are grateful to those like your father who have made such incredible sacrifices.
